What is a mythology? Who has one? What are mythologies made of? Why are they so interesting?
In this course we will be considering some of these questions through the lens of various world mythologies:
We will learn about these regions and their stories, draw suns and hammers, put together family trees of gods, and reflect on our favorite mythical deities!
Homework will consist of weekly assignments which deepen the understanding of mythologies touched upon in class and come together to help with the Week 8 final project. Some of the assignments build on each other, but the others also help in following the thread of the class.
